GATE – A Common Entrance Test for Post Graduate in Engineering course Graduate Aptitude Test will be conduct. For the admissions in IIT’s and IISC the students must appear for this examination for the post graduation in Engineering those who are completed Batches degree in B.Tech / Technology / Architecture 4 year degree course and Master degree in Maths / Statistics / Science / Computer application is eligible to apply for this examination final year students also can apply for this entrance test.

Gate Exam Pattern and Gate Exam Syllabus
This exam will be conduct in total 21 subjects. Total 65 questions will be ask for 100 marks. Duration of course three hours exam will be conduct in Online and Offline. In the exam 15% questions for engineering maths, 15% questions for General Aptitude and rest of 70% will be candidates chosen subject. Negative marks also applicable for this exam one third of marks will be removed from total marks for each negative answer. Candidate must need to chosen their engineering subject. For the PG in desired branch subject. But this could be effect applicant’s performance in Entrance test questions are asking in the subjects applications and theories. Candidate must need to prepare in application to the Gate Examination.

Branch wise Preparation tips for Gate Exam:

  • Mechanical Engineering: Energy System, Aero Space, Thermal Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Design.
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering: VLSI / Micro Electronics, Electronic design and Technology (Chip Design), Computer science engineering, Digital Electronics, Instrumentation and Controls, Aerospace Engineering and Power System Operation and Control, Power system, Power Electronics.
  • Computer Science and IT: Embedded system, Multimedia, Information Technology, Network and Internet Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering and Programming.
  • ECE Communication Systems: VLSI / Micro Electronics, Digital Electronics, System and Signals, Instrumentation and Controls.
Gate score will be valid for two years. If the candidate joined any college through the Gate Entrance test he will be get Rs.5000/- UGC grant for two years. For the joining in PhD also Gate score helpful. For the recruitment also so many companies are using the Gate score card like Indian oil corporation, BEL and BARC. If the candidate joined in IIT’s and IISC through the Gate Entrance test it would be awarded Rs.8000/- as a scholarship to the students.
